Pastís de poma "argentí" / Argentinean apple pie

Hola a tothom!!

Espero que us animeu a provar-lo i que us agradi!!

Ingredients:
  • 4 pomes
  • 250 g farina reposteria
  • 250 g sucre
  • 1 cullerada de llevat
  • 1 ou
  • 50 g panses
  • 50 g nous
  • canyella
  • 100 g mantega

Preparació:

Hello everybody!!

After a forced break due to a not serious but annoying illness, I'm back again with another sweet recipe...

Unfortunately, the same illness prevented me from working in my Vasarely blanket... so let me apologize to my CAL colleagues (tomorrow is the 21st). I promise to catch up for our next meeting!

Well, looking at the pictures of the apple pie you may think that this one is not the nicest you've ever seen... and I totally agree with you! But I guarantee that it is one of the easiest and tastiest!

I got the recipe from a colleague from the office (thanks Joan!) and, paired with some vanilla ice-cream, it reminds me the Tatin cake, but with the added flavor of cinnamon (which I love!).
Hope you like it!!
Ingredients:
  • 4 apples
  • 250 g flour
  • 250 g sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 egg
  • 50 g raisins
  • 50 g walnuts
  • ground cinnamon
  • 100 g butter
Instructions:
  1. Mix the flour, baking powder, sugar and the egg, until you get a sand-like texture.
  2. Remove the cores and slice the apples very thinly (to 2-3 mm thick). Cover the bottom of a greased mold or pan with the apple slices.
  3. Add a bit of ground cinnamon, some raisins and walnuts on top of the apples. Repeat the same process until you reach the top of the mold.
  4. Cover with the flour mix. Melt the butter and sprinkle over the cake.
  5. Bake at 375F (190ºC) for about 40 minutes (the first 25 minutes bottom heat only, top and bottom heat for the remaining time).
Enjoy it!!
